Soil and Water Remediation at Rocky Flats

Inside the 903 Pad Tents Soil and water remediation at Rocky Flats is one of the important components in the closure of the site.

FY2003 Accomplishments

  • Disposition 370 sites
    • Eight of the top ten highest risk sites complete
    • After initial characterization and collaboration with state regulators, 255 of the sites are expected to need no further action

  • 903 Pad remediation complete
    • Moving to windblown inner Lip Area
    • 903 outer Lip Area IM/IRA public comment Jan. 2004
    • Lip Area complete July 2004
