Surface Water Monitoring Program Overview

Primary regulatory drivers for compliance monitoring are the Site’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit and the Rocky Flats Cleanup Agreement. Surface water management and pond operation decisions rely on water quality and quantity information. Treated sanitary liquid effluents at the Site are carefully controlled and monitored as part of the Site’s environmental protection program.
