First you must complete and return a Vendor Database Application Form, which is available on the "Vendor Database" page of this web site. You can either apply on-line or download the form, complete it, and send it in. You should supply a Statement of Qualifications or a line card along with your application or mail one in separately. Upon receipt of your information, your company name will be added to our supplier database, which is used by Purchasing Agents to find appropriate suppliers.

Q: Since many of your major projects require a contractor be prequalified, how do I get prequalified? Back to Top

The "Requests for Proposals" page of this K-H web site lists major procurements and describes the general prequalification criteria for each. These prequalification criteria vary, depending on the specifics of activities.  In addition, new major procurements are also listed in the Federal Business Opportunities (fedbizopps) web site (see "Related Links"). Both this Kaiser-Hill site and the fedbizopps site will have the Point of Contact (POC) for the specific procurement being advertised. Request the prequalification package from the POC. After you submit the requested information, the submission will be reviewed and you will be informed as to your status.

Commodities are procured through the Procurement Systems organization. The "Contacts" page of this web site lists of types of commodities purchased at Rocky Flats and the Point of Contact for commodities specifics. Procurement Systems also uses the Small Business Supplier Database as a resource (see Question 4).

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS – pronounced Nakes), is a method of classifying groups of products. The NAICS replaces the Standard Industry Classification (SIC – pronounced Sick) codes.
