The firm pursues subcontractors that demonstrate support of its committment to ESH&Q excellence. Therefore, each subcontractor must meet minimum qualification criteria before being considered for any subcontract award for the Rocky Flats Closure Project. In addition, subcontractor ESH&Q performance is assessed on a weekly basis for all companies working at the site. Recognition awards are presented to employees irrespective of company affiliation for demonstrated safety performance. Also, disciplinary actions are taken in cases where companies cannot meet Kaiser-Hill's stringent ESH&Q standards. Kaiser-Hill will evaluate all site subcontractors based on the following:

• Local, state, and federal regulatory requirements
• ESH&Q training programs
• ESH&Q policies and procedures
• Lessons learned and corrective action programs
• Hazards analysis
• Experience modification rates
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable and lost workday case rates
• Hazards communication programs
• Material Safety Data Sheet records management
• Notices of Violation and Price-Anderson Amendments Act citations
